GVA at CSMA

Green Valley Artists are currently participating in ARTS FOR ALL MARATHON to raise funds for Ithaca's Community School of Music and Arts 'Arts for All' scholarships. The exhibit runs 26.2 days: Sept. 28--Oct. 24, 2009. Our GVA exhibit is a collection of 26 tree-themed works that will be auctioned for CSMA.

I made Maple: The Majestic Blonde, 6" x 8" acrylics on newspaper and paper bag on maple wood with linseed oil finish. Fun to make...cutting, pasting, gesso, more cutting, pasting, gesso. Pictures of my piece and the exhibit are below.

Charlie

I got a cocker spaniel pup named Charlie on Aug. 31st. I've been viewing the world through his eyes. Imagine being plopped into this world only 3 months ago and experiencing birds, moths, car engines, and refrigerators?

Sgt. Pepper

The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was released on this day, June 1, 1967. I'm listening to it right now and track 6 "She's Leaving Home" is playing. Bye, bye.
